random musings

Just got the book 'Feynman's lectures on Gravity'. Can't wait to read it.
I think the next quantum leap in our understanding of nature will be about dark matters.
I need to learn more about general relativity, and the current state of quantum gravity to think about these things.
I also need to learn some Geometry. I mean Topology.
Quantum Cryptography is a field, which is new and at the same time a bit well understood compared to the other Quantum Information/Computation things. I found some of the quantum protocols very interesting. Need to learn more about it. Stephanie's Thesis can be a good starting point.

I need to learn about the experiments going on, in cold atom and laser labs downstairs. I have always enjoyed doing experiments. I think I can contribute there.

Need to grow a habit of reading new arXiv entries regularly.

Want to learn High energy physics.

My interest towards cellular automata only increased in the last few months. I want to investigate  how complex behavior evolves. I have a hunch that, a deeper knowledge of cellular automata will play a big roll in, for example, cancer research. I want to organize what is knows in the bio-molecular level and come up with a formulation that can predict their complex interactions, or evolution. We will have quantum computers soon. So, I am not worrying about computing power. It's the mathematical framework that matters!

But we need to solve the dark matter/energy puzzle first. I will start to look for clues.

I think my sketching ability improved. Need to work more on it.
The next medium will be acrylic. But it is very difficult to work with acrylic or oil without making a mess in the room. That thing is bothering me. I might end up settling for watercolor.

And M audio keyrig 49. Thats the new gadget I want. :D

And also need to learn the song 'bondhu tomay' by Chandrabindu...

I don't know why, but if found it rather amusing that in German, every noun is written starting with a Capital letter.

So many things to do!!
